Week 16 Recap – (NFL and College Bowls)

This week was the week from hell for me. I was 1-4 ATS and SU in my bowl picks and 1-5 ATS and 2-4 SU in my NFL picks and a horrible 1-3 ATS on my over/unders. I don’t think Mr. Bush getting shoes thrown at him had a worse week than me.
So to date my stats are
Pros ATS 41-33 and SU 57-17
College Season ATS 78-59 and SU 97-40
For the College Bowl season I had a miserable start at
1-4 ATS and 1-4 SU
Hopefully I will do better this week, I certainly can’t do much worse.
As for all the Giants fans out there. My Congratulations to one of the best games I think I’ve seen the Giants play in a very long time. To actually come from behind in a game, they truly showed me that they are a team to be reckoned with in the playoffs. And the best news for the Giants is that all roads go thru them. It’s theirs to win in front of a Giants home crowd. It’s just too bad that Plaxico won’t be there to enjoy it too. I wonder if the jail he’s going to will let him watch the game.
On Tuesday night even though I like Smurf Field I think Boise State will lose to TCU as the competition that both these teams have played aren’t even in the same zip code. Look for TCU to cover the 2 point spread and win this game on the backs of their stellar defense. I am also leaning towards the under in this game which is 45.5.
I also like Notre Dame getting a 1.5 points from Hawaii on Wednesday night. If Notre Dame can’t beat this Hawaii team, then you would have to wonder why they gave Charlie Weis a contract extension. Notre Dame has played Hawaii twice before and won both games SU but did not cover the spread in either game, maybe getting points this time will change that. Let’s hope so.

I might be jumping the gun a little but here’s the way I see this weekend’s AFC East matchups.
Miami wins big and grounds the Jets. Bret, I am a fan, but take the retirement check and go fishing.
I hate betting against Buffalo, but I see the Patriots squeaking out a close one; even so, it may still be the end of the season for my Pats (sigh).
I might as well wish big for Christmas.

I’ve been really good this year, and I would like another Giants – Patriots Super Bowl, with a different outcome of course.
