Well, I am quite pleased with the Buffalo Bills draft selections. They were hurting on the offensive line and picked up center Eric Wood from Louisville, Offensive Lineman, Andy Levitre from Oregon State and a very good prospect in tight end Shawn Nelson from Southern Miss.

They also went after defensive end Aaron Maybin from Penn State in the first round. A very good pickup seeing the Bills had little to no pass rush last year after trading away Jason Peters for some reason I will never understand. Let’s hope Maybin can be the pass rusher the Bills desperately need.

And finally they used the rest of draft picks trying to shore up their secondary. They got Jarius Byrd a cornerback from Oregon. Gill Byrd is Jarius’s father who played for San Diego, let’s hope it’s in the genes 
They also picked up safety, Nic Harris from Oklahoma who also played weak side outside linebacker, so he is capable of playing a few defensive positions.
Also a cornerback they choose Cary Harris from USC. I’m not sure if Harris is fast enough to play against the wide receivers of New England but time will tell.
And finally in the 7th round they picked up defensive back, Ellis Lankster from West Virginia.  I read that Lankster is very good against the run and has very good ball skills. My only problem with Lankster is his size. Lankster is only 5’9” and 191 pounds. After hitting some of the running backs in the NFL he might find that 191 pounds just isn’t enough to take that kind of pounding.
Overall, the Bills get a thumbs up from me as they went after players in the positions that needed shoring up the most.

I’ll be back with my opinion on the Jets and Pats draft picks.
