I’m back and ready to make my college picks for another week
It was a nice vacation, and once again I want to thank both Moose and Ray for filling in for me and doing a great job, but I’m back and ready to make my picks for another week. Here are my college picks.

I am going to start out with my top pick, which will go to Nebraska at home laying 4 touchdowns. After last week’s devastating loss to Virginia Tech in the final seconds of the game, I can see Nebraska coming home in a very foul mode and even though the Ragin’ Cajuns are 2-1, in my opinion Nebraska will take out its frustrations on the Cajuns and easily beat the spread. Nebraska is also on a 4-0 ATS run and this should be 5. And one more thing Nebraska has outscored 2 other Sun Belt teams this year by a combined score of 87-12.

I’m going to follow up my first pick, with another team who went down last week but in a far different scenario. BYU was dismantled by Florida State at home with their proud defense giving up 54 points, and their 18 game home winning streak coming to an abrupt end. BYU is again at home giving Colorado State 16 ½ points and unless Colorado State brings it A+++ game with them BYU will cover the spread with room to spare. BYU is also 6-2 ATS the past 8 games after a straight up loss and 4-1 ATS their last 5 games after giving up more than 40 points.

Moving on to a team that actually won last week my next pick is Michigan at home giving Indiana 21 points. Indiana is 7-20 ATS on the road versus Big 10 opponents including 0-3 ATS at Michigan. Michigan is 30-1 SU in this series, winning the last 5 games by an average of 30 points. Michigan has started out the year 3-0 ATS and SU this will make it 4 and keep the streak going.
Go Blue and Maize.

My fourth best bet this week is Texas at home hosting Texas-El Paso and laying 5 touchdowns. 35 points is a lot to give up, but Texas beat UTEP on the road last year by 29 points and with home field advantage I can see them covering this number. Texas has a bye next week and this will keep them focused on this game while UTEP will be hosting conference rival Houston. Some very strong stats have Texas 7-1 ATS the past 8 versus Conference USA, while UTEP
is 2-7 ATS versus Big 12 schools. This all adds up to me, as a cover by Texas.

My last top pick will go the Miami Hurricanes on the road at Virginia Tech, getting 3 points. Miami is 7-2 ATS their last 9 road games but does struggle against VT. VT won last week against Nebraska but had to put an 88 yard drive together with less than 2 minutes to do it. Miami is clicking on all cylinders now and after VT winning by only a point last week my nod goes to the Canes getting points.
My underdog picks this week are Boston College at home getting 2 points from Wake Forest. Marshall on the road getting 3 points from Memphis, and Louisville on the road at Utah getting 14 points.
Other regular plays I like but not as top picks are – Boise State on the road giving Bowling Green 16 ½ points. Clemson at home giving TCU 2 ½ points.
I also like UNLV on the road at Wyoming laying 3 ½ points and Vanderbilt on the road at Rice laying 7 points.
On Friday night I like Missouri to cover the 7 points on the road at Nevada.
Well that’s it for my college picks, I will be back with my pro picks.
As always bet with your head not over it
