Well, football fans, we made it through another off season, and now football will begin tonight as the college season opens with a few good games on tap.

I’ve looked over the 5 games going tonight and I think the only games I feel comfortable putting a few schillings on are -

I like Troy to cover the 6 ½ point spread on the road at Bowling Green. Bowling Green has a new head coach and only 10 returning starters, while Troy is returning most of their stars on offense, advantage Troy. The stat that hits me is that Bowling Green is 2-14 ATS their last 16 home games, now that’s just plain awful.

I also like the over in the Boise State, Oregon game.
The O/U in the game is 64 ½ and I think both offenses will put up some points, last game in Eugene was 37-32 and Oregon’s QB, Masoli, got hurt and left the game.

AND if someone held a gun to my head I would probably take the points with South Carolina and Utah State, but I won’t be putting any money on these games. Just a quick note – Utah State’s coach Anderson worked for Utah coach Whittingham, could give Utah State just enough of an edge to keep this game within the number(20 ½).

I am leaning towards Tulsa on Friday as long as the line stays under 2 TDs.

I will be getting back to you tomorrow, with my Saturday picks.

As always bet with your head not above it :)
