All I can say is the Giants fared better this past weekend then they have the past month as they picked up a game on both Dallas and Philly without playing, maybe that’s how they should finish the season :

With that being said here are my picks for this week

My first pick is the Pittsburgh Steelers laying 10 points on the road in Kansas City. I know you’re saying anyone could make this pick but to you I say Kansas City is on a 1 game winning streak and that should make them very confident going into this game…yeah right <smirk> Pittsburgh has to be ticked they lost last week to Cincy and the Chiefs are basking in the fact they beat their hated foe, the Raiders. In my opinion the Steelers come out smokin’ and knock the Chiefs back into reality where they will then be sadly beat into submission. Lay the points this shouldn’t be close.

My second best bet this weekend is the Indianapolis Colts on the road at the Baltimore Ravens giving the Ravens a whole point, not a half but a whole point. The Colts are lucky to be 9-0, but are they?? They have definitely caught some breaks no bigger than the one last weekend but lets face facts, they are playing with 2 rookie corners, Peyton’s lost his favorite receiver in Harrison and yet they still win, so no I don’t consider them lucky, I consider them good, very good and that’s the main reason I think they will win again this weekend in Baltimore. Of course it doesn’t hurt that Terrell Suggs isn’t playing and that the Colts have beaten the Ravens the past 4 games by a combined 114-36. Lay the whole point the Colts will be 10-0 at the end of this game.

Well, this week I am on the New England Patriots at home giving the New York Jets 10 points. The Pats lost a heartbreaker last week on a questionable call by Belichick. My take on the call is that it showed an immense respect Belichick has for Peyton Manning, but in my opinion it clouded Bill’s thinking so much that he forgot the respect he should have shown his defense and their ability to stop Peyton from scoring a TD, not a FG but a TD. I’m not sure the outcome of the game would have changed but I’m sure the decision he did make did change the outlook of his defense’s players towards him. The Pats have a lot to prove this weekend as the Jets beat them this year and the Jets are on a 2 game winning streak against the Pats. My guess is that the Pats had a very intense practice week and that they come out at game time with that intensity that leads them to a convincing victory over the Jets. Lay the 10 points as I’m not even sure that will be enough.

My last best pick this week is the Arizona Cardinals on the road at St.Louis Rams laying 9 ½ points. This was an easy pick for me as the Cardinals are 4-0 ATS and SU on the road this year and seem to play much better on the road. Of course it doesn’t hurt that Kurt Warren set a lot of records at Edward Jones Dome when he played for the Rams and is very comfortable in this stadium. It also doesn’t hurt that the Rams gave it their all last weekend in keeping the game close against the New Orleans Saints but still lost. And with all this being said the Cardinals are just the much better team here and will not let the Rams get close enough to worry about the cover. Lay the points with the much better team here.

Other games I like as regular plays are the Minnesota Vikings to cover the 10 ½ point spread at home against the Seattle Seahawks. I also think the Cincinnati Bengals will cover the 9 ½ points against the Oakland Raiders. The Philadelphia Eagles will cover the 3 points on the road at the Chicago Bears.

As for underdogs this week I like the Buffalo Bills to stay within the 9 points against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and finally I like the Tennessee Titans to stay within the 4 ½ points on the road against the Houston Texans.

As for over/under bets, I like the
over 40 in the Pittsburgh/Kansas City game,
over 46 ½ in the Arizona/St. Louis game,
over 46 in the Seattle/Minnesota game,
over 36 in the Cincinnati/Oakland game.

Well, that’s it for another week, so as always bet with your head not over it :
