Here we are in Week 2 of the NFL and I’m looking at a few interesting games.

This week some of my picks are on good teams that lost last weekend. Here then are my pro picks for this weekend.

My first pick for Sunday goes to the Atlanta Falcons at home giving the Arizona Cardinals 6 ½ points. The Falcons lost a heartbreaker last week on the road in Pittsburgh in overtime. This week they are at home for their home opener against an Arizona team on their 2nd road game. Arizona did not play well last week against a very bad Rams team, but I’m thinking that might be because they really aren’t good this year. The Falcons are a decent bet as they were 6-2 SU and ATS last year in home games. The Falcons will bounce back this week with a win and cover.

My second pick is on the Tennessee Titans at home giving 5 points to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Titans won last week 38-13 against what most people feel is an improved Raiders team. Unfortunately they were up against another very improved team in the Titans. I have to admit I would probably not have picked this game if Big Ben were playing but without their leader the Steelers will find it difficult to score on the Titans. Tennessee normally comes out of the gate strong and their 10-2 ATS record in September attests to that. Look for the Titans to win this game by at least 10 points. Take the Titans to win and cover.

Third on my list is the New England Patriots (smile Jim) on the road giving 2 ½  points to the New York Jets. I must admit I am not a big fan of the Rex Ryan coaching style, and this week his mouth will cost his team yet another game. Watch the Randy Moss, Darrell Revis matchup this weekend and you will understand what I mean. The Patriots are on a long list of teams that can’t wait to play the Jets to run them into the ground which is why I am not at all concerned about the 2 ½ points. The Patriots will win and cover and Ryan will shoot his mouth off, both things you can bank on.

My last favorite pick goes to the Minnesota Vikings at home against the Miami Dolphins laying 5 ½ points. Minnesota played 10 days ago and have had plenty of time to get some of the wrinkles out after keeping the Saints to just 14 points. This was after the Saints scored on the Vikings on their first drive and then didn’t score but 7 points the whole rest of the game. Miami had trouble scoring as they only put 15 points up on the Bills. This is Miami’s 2nd straight road game and they are coming up against a team that went 8-0 SU last year at home and 5-2-1 ATS. Look for the Vikings defense to shut down the Dolphins, and Favre, even without Rice and a banged up Harvin, to win and cover this game.

I am also leaning towards, the Philadelphia Eagles with Vick at QB, on the road to cover the 6 ½ points at Detroit. I am also leaning towards the Baltimore Ravens on the road to cover the 2 ½ points at Cincinnati.  And finally even though it is a lot of points I like the Green Bay Packers at home spotting the Buffalo Bills 13 points.

I only like a few underdogs this week and they include the New York Giants on the road, getting 5 points from the Indianapolis Colts. I also like the 7 points the Chicago Bears are getting on the road at Dallas. And last but not least I like the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road getting 7 points from the San Diego Chargers.

As for over/unders I like the over 43 in the Bills/Packers game, the over 43 ½ in the Broncos/Jaguars game, and last but not least I like the over 38 ½ in the Pats/Jets game.

Well that’s it for this week, now let’s enjoy the season.

As always bet with your head not over it  :)
