Well, here we are just a little over a week to the Super Bowl and the teams have been set. The Arizona Cardinals will face the Pittsburgh Steelers, the opening line is Pitt -7 and the O/U is 47. My pick will be coming on Friday the 30th.

I can’t complain about my record during the playoffs. Last week I had Philly and the over and the Steelers and over. I had a final score in the Philly game of 31-24 (actual final 32-25). And in the Steelers game I predicted 24-14 and the actual score was 23-14. So my playoff record to date is pretty damn good.

My playoff record now stands at -
7-3 ATS and 7-3 SU 70%
and
6-2 ATS on the over/unders. 75%

Both games were fun to watch except for the horrible call in the Cards/Eagles game, where the kickoff was clearly NOT out of bounds which makes it a live ball beyond 10 yards. I can’t believe in the Conference Championship games that ALL plays that are visibly bad calls by the refs aren’t reviewable and reversed. This should definitely be a rule that should change during the playoffs. I was also laughing with my friend Peter about the possibility the game ending in a tie and if Donovan knew that after an extra quarter and no team scores that the game doesn’t end in a tie <smile>

I also want to send a “thank you” out to Troy Polamula for intercepting Flacco’s pass with 4 minutes left in the game and running it back for a touchdown as it gave us the cover and the over. I did have a moment there where I hoped that Pitt would go for 2 and that would have given me the score just as I had predicted, but I knew they wouldn’t, but I sure did want them to J

Also, the stat I gave you about the pointspread under double digits hasn’t come into play since 1993 held up and is now at 26-0-1 ATS as the Cards won and the Steelers covered. This is a stat that I will always use in this round of the playoffs.

I also want to invite back, my friends Peter and Moose for their Super Bowl picks.

Well, that’s it until next week when I give you my pick on the Super Bowl.

I want to thank everyone who has visited my part of this great website, it has been a dream come true handicapping football games. CHRIS BERMAN CALL ME !!!
