I don’t like the looks of the over-unders this week so I will not touch them.
I like ARIZONA on the up to beat Atlanta. I think Kurt Warner ....

Well, I really didn’t like too much on Tuesday with the exception of Maryland but didn’t feel confident enough to give it out.

I do however have the picks for the rest of the bowl games and I’m just going to give you my picks as they are really just my opinion after looking at the teams, coaches, offensive lines versus defensive lines, quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers.

My Best Bets in the bowl games are

UCONN -5
GEORGIA -7.5 Won
PENN STATE +9 Lost
TULSA +1.5
FLORIDA -3

Games I like and I am leaning towards are
KENTUCKY +3
BOSTON COLLEGE -3.5 Lost
VIRGINIA TECH +2.5 Won
LSU +4 Won
HOUSTON -3.5 Won

As for bowl over/unders I like
Oregon State over 51.5 Lost
Nebraska over 56 Lost
Texas Tech over 68.5
Alabama over 45.5
Tulsa over 77

Good Luck and as always bet with your head and not above it.

As for the Pros, on this Wild Card weekend here are the teams and over/unders I like

My first pick this weekend will be the Baltimore Ravens on the road at Miami laying 3 points. These 2 teams played in October in Miami with Baltimore winning 27-13 and I see no reason why Baltimore can’t win this game again and close to the same score. Lay the 3 points and then watch Chad get his butt kicked, while throwing at least 2 picks. For some reason I like the over in this game which is at 37.5, I guess it’s because it went over last time and the over for Baltimore is 13-5 ATS the past 18 games against the AFC.

My next pick will be on the red hot Philadelphia Eagles on the road at Minnesota laying 3 points. Philly has played Minny 4 times in this century and has won all 4 by at least 7 points. So why are the only laying 3 points, comes to mind, for me right away, but I’m not the one who makes the lines so I guess the linemakers must know something we don’t, like Minnesota has a chance to cover this line, I just don’t share their opinion. In the last 5 games of the regular season, Philly went 4-1 ATS while Minny went 2-3 ATS and Minny is lucky to be in the playoffs as they got a FG on the last play of the game against the Giants to win the game 20-19 and in the 2nd half the Giants didn’t play all the regulars. Philly on the other hand had to beat Dallas and did they ever beat Dallas, 44-6. The Eagles are 6-2 ATS the last 8 games against the NFC and they are also 10-4 ATS the last 14 road games. Lay the 3 points and watch the Eagles fly high in a game that most likely will go under the 42 total.

Next, I like the Indianapolis Colts to cover the 1 point on the road at San Diego. Once again this is a rematch, as the Colts beat the Chargers in San Diego on Nov. 23rd by 3 points, 23-20. The way the Chargers have played this year I just can’t back them in this game as the Colts are on a 9 game winning streak and Peyton is finally looking like the Peyton we all know and love (well at least some of us). Also, Tomlinson is dealing with a groin injury which should take out some of the steam from him, although Rivers probably played his best game last week against the Broncos as he threw for 2 TDs and Tomlinson had 3 TDs, but that was against the Broncos and not the Colts. The road team is 5-1 ATS the last 6 times these 2 teams met and the Colts are 4-0-1 ATS the last 5 against the AFC. I guess the most important stat to me in this game is, that the Colts are just the better team and the Chargers are lucky to be in the playoffs. I don’t like the over/under number in this game as it is at 51, which I think is a bit too high but I will pass on making a pick either way.

My last pick is the most difficult one for me as I went back and forth on this game all week, but I am finally settling on, taking the 3 points from Atlanta and backing the Arizona Cardinals at home. There are stats that back both these teams so I will tell you this was a very hard pick for me. With that being said I have to tell you that I think this will be the highest scoring game this weekend and will easily cover the 51 points, as Arizona is on an over run of 9-1 ATS the last 10 games at home and the over is 4-0 ATS the last 4 times these 2 teams met. The over is the better play on this game in my opinion.

And before I sign off I would like to welcome a couple of very dear friends of mine, Moose and Peter, who are going to give you there takes on the games this weekend –
From their pen to your eyes ————-

Pro PICKS from MOOSE the Greek ……

I don’t like the looks of the over-unders this week so I will not touch them.
I like ARIZONA on the up to beat Atlanta. I think Kurt Warner has the Falcons number and even though Matt Ryan and the Falcs have surprised everyone this year I think they buy the farm this week.

My 5 ANTLER pick this week is the Indianapolis Colts to send the 8-8 San Diego Chargers to the scrape heap. The Chargers have had some bad luck this year but they will fold like a cheap suit against 3 time MVP Peyton Manning and the Colts.

Even though I was glad that Miami beat the Jets and showed Brett ‘I can still play’ Favre that he should have retired, I am going with the Baltimore Ravens minus the 3.5 this week. I think the Ravens will win by at least 10 points.

Last but not least I like the Philadelphia Eagles to send the Vikings to VALHALLA this week. Again I am confident that Philly will win by 10 or more but they will cover for sure.

That’s my picks for this week. A Thank You to Liz for inviting me to speak my piece. Until next time eat, drink, and be merry………..

As always, GOOD LUCK !!

** Special guest picks from a Fat Guy. This would be my friend Peter **

College.

Go with UConn
Lay the points.
Better Team in a better Division.

Florida has a swagger and a rep to run up scores.
I believe the line is inflated because of the betting public’s perceptions.
But Okie is going to be held under their usual scoring average.
So go with Florida.
With Utah going undefeated,
Florida will run up the score late to impress the Non-BCS pollsters who might lean towards a team (Utah) that rocked and rolled (at least for a half) the one time #1 BSC ranked team.

Pros.

Wow, No respect for the home teams from the lines makers……….
Probably correct.

But.

Go with Arizona and San Diego to cover.
With common sense saying the SD/Colts should be an over.
If LT is a no go, tread lightly on SD as he is the engine that pushes the Chargers.

Baltimore is poised to make a run.
Great D and they should score enough to put Miami away.
They are my best bet of the weekend.

Enjoy
As always, GOOD LUCK !!
